Fresh off of his win at the MTV Movie Awards for “Best Kiss,” Moonlight actor Ashton Sanders continues to draw recognition for his impressive career strides.
That’s right, his latest feat was this past weekend at Wendy Raquel Robinson’s Spring production of ‘Hope In The Hood.’ The event was hosted by actor Jussie Smollett and performed by the current students of the Amazing Grace Conservatory, a youth organization founded by the Hollywood icon and actress–which has trained actors like Sanders & many other stars we know and love today like Rhyon Nicole Brown (‘Surviving Compton’), Issa Rae (‘Insecure’), and Aldis Hodge (‘Underground’).
Shortly following the show, Ashton was honored as a distinguished alumni of AGC for his performance in the Oscar-winning feature film, ‘Moonlight’, in tandem with the company’s 20th anniversary. Robinson’s youth organization fosters and trains young boys and girls of all races and all ages under 18 interested in the arts/entertainment in the Los Angeles area & touches everyone near and far—including a few famous faces who came in support of the organization’s milestone celebration like actress, Katlynn Simone, Marla Gibbs, RaVaughn Brown and more…and we were there to catch it all!
